Dog Breed: Belgian Shepherd Malinois. Darko is a happy, playful, sharp male Belgian Shepherd that is looking for a new home. His current owner has a debilitating medical condition that no longer allows hime to remain with his original family... Darko is trained, well behaved, medium drive, fit and healthy. He gets along with people, even ones he has not met before. He has a number of canine siblings, some of them very small, and they get along very well. New dogs will need a short introduction period. Darko is eager to play and is toy and food motivated. He is formally trainged in basic obedience and has very good leash manners.

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds.
