Dog Breed: Chihuahua (short coat). Hello! My name is Sangria and I came to the Olive Branch Animal Rescue as a pull from the county shelter due to space. I am a very shy girl when you meet me but once I get to know you, I am a very clingy girl that loves to be next to you or on your lap. If you get up and leave the room, I will follow like a little shadow. I would love my person to the fullest If they adopted me. I do have a unique heterochromia trait meaning I have a brown eye and also another eye that has some blue color to it around the edges. I have been Spayed, fully vaccinated, and Current on preventives. I have tested Positive for Lyme disease on my combo test and had to have a cycle of antibiotics to treat it. Despite their tiny stature, Chihuahuas possess a big personality; they are often described as spirited, alert, and fiercely loyal to their owners, sometimes displaying a bold and confident demeanor. While their small size makes them exceptionally well-suited for apartment living, they thrive in homes where they receive ample attention and mental stimulation. They can be good family pets for older children who understand how to interact gently with a small dog, but their delicate build makes them less suitable for boisterous toddlers.
