Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Meet 9 week old, pittie puppy Willaby. Willaby (darker brown) is the sweet heart Woody, Cheyenne Bodie, and Lane Frost cowboy. Starting out as the runt of the litter had Willaby fearful of the world at first but he has learned to be brave through his friendship with his foster brothers both a cat and a dog. Now that he’s found a semblance of courage, he will follow his friends into danger aka watching the mailman pass by without running and crying, but he will stick to the herd just in case. He is a playful boy who is cheeky with toys and treats and is prone to stealing them from his siblings then immediately regretting his naughty behavior and returning the goods. If you prefer your cowboys sweet, sensitive, and cuddly, Willaby is the boy for you! Willaby currently lives with both a cat and dogs, and must go to a home with another dog. Puppies do not have fully developed immune systems, so your home must have it's own private outdoor area. No community spaces or dog parks until their grown. They will be fully vaccinated, neutered &microchipped before being officially adopted. They are currently available to foster to adopt, and they need to complete their vetting in our Rochester area network. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
