Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Meet 9 week old, pittie puppy Wrangler. Wrangler is the more people-oriented half of this adorable pair. While he’s happy to explore new things, he prefers to do it with his brother or his foster by his side. This sweet boy bonds deeply and truly hates being left alone. Because of that, he would do best in a home with a canine companion or someone around most of the time. Don’t let his snuggly side fool you though. Wrangler is still 100% puppy! He loves to play, romp, and wrestle, especially when he feels secure and supported. With the right family, he’s going to be an incredibly loyal and loving best friend. Wrangler currently lives with dogs, cats, and a house rabbit - talk about good exposure! Puppies do not have fully developed immune systems, so your home must have it's own private outdoor area. No community spaces or dog parks until their grown. They will be fully vaccinated, neutered & microchipped before being officially adopted. They are currently available to foster to adopt, and they need to complete their vetting in our Rochester area network. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
