Description
Dog Breed: Cane Corso Mastiff (medium coat). This chonky lady is Angel! Just like her name, she's as sweet as can be. When Angel gets to know her friends, she's wiggly and sweet! Angel's still got her puppy energy, she loves to get zoomies and get silly with her friends. When first getting to know Angel, she can be very worried. She needs a gentle and patient family that can meet her where she's at- once she feels comfortable you will see the other side of her! Angel absolutely loves her toys, but can be pretty intense with them. She's going to need a home that can respect her space and understand how to interact with a dog that shows signs of resource guarding. Because of this behavior, Angel is looking for an adult-only home. Angel could possibly live with another dog with proper management around resources.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
