Description
Dog Breed: Shih Tzu / Poodle (Miniature) / Mixed (long coat). Adoption Fee: 400. Stanley is a 1.5-year-old Shih Tzu/Poodle mix with the sweetest soul and the cutest little underbite you’ve ever seen. Seriously… it’s impossible not to smile when you look at him. This sweet little guy has such calm, gentle energy. He’s the kind of dog who just wants to be near his people — happily following you from room to room, keeping you company while you work, relax, or binge your favorite show. He doesn’t need to be the center of attention… he just wants to be close. Stanley does well with other dogs and enjoys their company, but he would also be perfectly content soaking up all the love as your one and only. He’s great with gentle kids who understand how to respect a small pup. His adoption fee is $400 and that includes his neuter, vaccines, microchip and 30 days free pet insurance. To meet him text 480-718-1312.

Breed overview
Overview:
The Shih-Poo is a charming designer breed, a delightful cross between the gentle Shih Tzu and the intelligent Miniature Poodle, typically originating from breeders seeking to combine the best traits of both. These small companion dogs usually boast a soft, wavy to curly coat that is often low-shedding, making them a popular choice for individuals with allergies. Physically, they exhibit a compact build, expressive eyes, and come in a variety of colors. In terms of temperament, Shih-Poos are generally affectionate, playful, and highly adaptable, making them excellent family pets and well-suited for apartment living due to their moderate exercise needs. They thrive on human companionship and can be quite trainable with positive reinforcement. While generally robust, potential health considerations include issues common to their parent breeds, such as patellar luxation, eye conditions, and dental problems, underscoring the importance of responsible breeding and regular veterinary care.
