Description
Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Siberian Husky / Mixed. This handsome boy, Buddy, is a five-year-old Husky/German Shepherd mix with a playful spirit and a big heart. He loves to have fun and can be a little hyper at times — especially when he’s excited — but that just means he’s always ready for an adventure! He is crate trained and does very well in his crate. When free roaming, he may need a little supervision to help prevent the occasional accident, but with consistency and routine he continues to do well. Buddy has never shown any aggression and has a gentle, friendly temperament. He does great with kids and has been friendly with the neighbor dogs, making him a wonderful candidate for a family home. He would thrive with an active family who can give him regular exercise, attention, and love. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful companion who will be excited to see you every single day, he may be the perfect fit!

Breed overview
Overview:
The Gerberian Shepsky is a hybrid of the German Shepherd Dog and Siberian Husky, emerging in North America as a modern companion with working-dog roots. Typically medium to large, they feature an athletic build, erect ears, and a dense double coat, often with striking blue or heterochromatic eyes. Their temperament blends loyalty, intelligence, and independence, making them affectionate yet occasionally headstrong. With very high energy, they thrive on daily exercise and structured training, suiting active families more than apartment living without ample outdoor time. Early socialization supports good manners with children and other pets. Notable health considerations include potential hip dysplasia and eye issues; regular vet care, weight management, and coat grooming help maintain well-being. Their typical lifespan ranges around 10–13 years, rewarding committed owners with a loyal, adventurous companion.
