Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Hi… my name is Marley. I’ve already known fear and loneliness more than any puppy ever should. I was left behind in an apartment… tied up so tight that I couldn’t reach food or water. I cried and waited and hoped someone would come back for me. The room was quiet. My tummy hurt. I didn’t understand what I did wrong. I’m just a baby. I don’t know how long I was there… but I know I never want to feel that alone again. Even after everything, I still love with my whole heart. I’m just a little terrier girl who wants to feel safe. I love other dogs, I’m good with cats, and I adore kids. I don’t want to be alone — I want to be part of a family. My favorite place to sleep is right on your pillow, by your head. I press my little body close because I’m scared you might disappear if I’m too far away. I wrap my paws around you like a hug and hold on tight. I’m learning my house manners and use puppy pads like a good girl. I sleep through the night, especially if I know you’re nearby. I just need reassurance that I’m safe now. All I want is a forever home where I will never be tied up… never be hungry… never be forgotten again. Please choose me. I promise to love you more than you could ever imagine. I just don’t want to be alone anymore.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
