Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Reuben is a 3-year-old Terrier mix with a heart as big as his 53-pound frame! This handsome boy sports the most irresistible smile you’ve ever seen — seriously, he’s always beaming. Happy-go-lucky is his middle name! Reuben greets every day (and every person) like it’s the best thing that’s ever happened to him. He’s always ready to make a new friend, whether that’s a human buddy or a fellow pup. His cheerful personality is totally contagious — one tail wag from Reuben and your day instantly gets better. When he’s not charming everyone in sight, Reuben is all about snuggles. He loves leaning in for pets, curling up close, and soaking up affection. But don’t let his cuddle bug side fool you — he’s playful too! Toss a toy, start a little game, and watch his joyful, bouncy energy shine. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will fill your home with smiles, laughter, and lots of cozy cuddle sessions, Reuben is ready to be your guy.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
