Dog Breed: Shih Tzu / Mixed (long coat). Meet Pearce! Pearce was found wandering alone through orchards and country roads in heartbreaking condition. His coat was severely overgrown and painfully matted — even a piece of tire tread was tangled into his tail. Thanks to the quick action of one of our incredible fosters, Pearce was brought to safety and immediately received the medical care he so desperately needed. He was severely anemic at the time, but with proper treatment, good nutrition, and lots of love, he began his journey to recovery. After a long-awaited grooming session and plenty of TLC, Pearce has been fully nursed back to health — and he’s absolutely thriving. Now, this sweet boy is ready for his forever family.
