Dog Breed: Shih Tzu (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 450. Good Golly it's Miss Molly! If you’re looking for a shadow with four legs meet Molly, an adorable Shih Tzu born in June 2024! This 1.5 year old, 15 pound sweet girl is fully potty trained and also uses potty pads, making her an excellent addition to any household. Molly has a playful and goofy personality that will bring joy to your home. Her tail never stops wagging. Molly loves playing with toys but watch those dirty socks because she might love those more than toys! She thrives on human companionship and loves to be by your side, although she prefers attention on her own terms. While she gets along well with other dogs, she’d be happiest and we'd prefer that she has a furry friend her size or smaller, although she may not necessarily need a companion to be content. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who can keep you entertained with her playful antics, Molly is the perfect match! They must all be trained with positive reward based training and all are all up to date with vaccinations, altered, microchipped, HeartWorm tested, and on preventatives. PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: havenanimalrescuenebraska/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you. Thank you for choosing adoption!!

The Shih Tzu, affectionately known as the "lion dog," boasts an ancient and regal lineage, originating from the Tibetan plateau and further refined in imperial China. These charming canines are easily recognized by their striking appearance: a small, sturdy build, a distinctive undershot jaw, and a long, flowing double coat that often requires regular grooming to prevent matting.
