She is currently with one of our sister rescues in Louisiana and can come to NJ with a foster or adopter. Meet Val — our adorable little Border Collie (or maybe Aussie?) mix who wandered into our hearts just before Valentine’s Day! This fluffy-eared beauty was found as a stray, but she hasn’t let that slow her down one bit. Val is extra smart—she’s already learning her basic commands like a champ! At just a few months old, she’s still working on her kennel and house training, but she’s off to a great start with lots of love and patience from her foster family. With her big paws, we think this girl will grow into a gorgeous 50-pound bundle of energy and devotion. Val would thrive with someone who’s experienced with active, intelligent breeds—or who has a confident, well-trained dog to show her the ropes. She’s eager to learn, eager to love, and ready to fill your days with joy, zoomies, and fluffy cuddles. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption.
