Description
Dog Breed: Great Dane. LOCATION: Fayetteville, NC DOB: 06/09/2025 Meet Dahlia, a sweet and playful Great Dane puppy who’s full of curiosity and joy! This happy girl loves to spend her days romping around with her foster dog siblings, soaking up the sunshine in the yard, and curling up for snuggles on the couch. She has a wonderful balance of energy—she’s always up for some fun, but she also knows how to settle down and relax when it’s time to rest. Dahlia is a naturally curious pup who loves exploring new places and discovering the world around her. She’s still a little cautious when meeting new people, but once she warms up, her affectionate personality shines through. She adores being with her people and wants to be part of everything they do. In true Great Dane fashion, she’s well on her way to becoming a loving “Velcro dog” who will stick right by your side. She’s been doing great with her house training—though, like any young puppy, she occasionally forgets to take a break from playtime to go potty outside. She’s learning quickly and improving every day! Dahlia is also good on leash and rides nicely in the car. She does fine with her crate sometimes, but she’d much rather be near you. Dahlia lives with two large dogs in her foster home and gets along wonderfully with them. She loves to play and would thrive in a home with another friendly dog who enjoys puppy antics and companionship. She also lives with children ages 9 to 15 and does great with them—she’d likely do fine with younger kids too, as long as her puppy exuberance is managed with a little patience. This gentle girl has no medical concerns and is as sweet as they come. Dahlia’s perfect home would be one where she’s loved, included in family life, and ideally has a playmate to keep her company. She’s affectionate, playful, and has a heart full of love to share. Whoever welcomes Dahlia into their family will gain a loyal, loving companion who will make every day a little brighter. ========================= To apply to adopt me, please fill out the application form! form.jotform/51994996709176 . Overview:
The Great Dane is an impressive and regal breed, often dubbed the "Apollo of Dogs" for its dignified stature and noble appearance. Originating in Germany, where it was historically bred for hunting boar, this giant breed is renowned for its immense size and striking presence. Physically, Great Danes are characterized by their tall, muscular build, short coat (available in various colors like fawn, brindle, black, blue, and harlequin), and expressive eyes. Despite their formidable size, they possess a surprisingly gentle and affectionate temperament, making them wonderful family companions. They are known for being patient with children and generally get along well with other pets. While their size might suggest otherwise, Great Danes can adapt to apartment living if provided with sufficient daily exercise, as they are not overly energetic indoors. However, prospective owners should be aware of certain health considerations, including a predisposition to bloat (gastric dilatation-volvulus), hip dysplasia, and certain heart conditions, necessitating careful breeding and regular veterinary check-ups. Overall, a Great Dane offers a loving and loyal addition to the right home.
