Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Meet Eddie! He was born around mid-May 2025. He currently weighs 53 pounds and probably has a bit more growing to do. The last 2 pics are his puppy pictures. He is in a foster home with several other dogs, and he's having a blast! He would love to have a doggie playmate and a human that takes him on fun adventures. He is house-trained and crate-trained in his foster home. He walks well on a leash. He knows "sit" and would probably be receptive to learning more tricks. He needs a home with only adults or older kids that are above the age of 12. His favorite foods are peanut butter, cheese balls and pepperoni - typical teenager! Eddie is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, and started on monthly flea and heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $300 and you can apply to adopt at mpravl All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
