Description
Dog Breed: Cane Corso Mastiff. Kaine was E-listed at the South LA California Shelter, and we are so grateful we were able to step in for this sweet, handsome boy just in time. This lovable guy is all puppy energy — playful, affectionate, and just looking for guidance from his forever people. Kaine is dog friendly and would do best with a confident female dog companion to help show him the ropes. He thrives with companionship and structure. He absolutely: Loves to play ❤️ Loves attention Loves car rides Loves to cuddle Kaine is still learning about the world, so we recommend a home with children over 6–7 years old due to his playful puppy energy. He is unknown with small dogs and cats at this time. He’s a young boy with so much potential — he just needs someone willing to give him direction, consistency, and love. In return, you’ll get a loyal, affectionate best friend. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
