Description
Dog Breed: Cane Corso Mastiff (short coat). Meet Lulu Our sweet black panther girl is ready for her forever home. Lulu is very middle of the road — not too much, not too little. She is calm, mellow, and has great house manners. She is super house trained, not destructive, and easy to have in the home. She is dog friendly and would do best in a home with another dog, ideally a male dog. Lulu loves attention, enjoys belly rubs, and rides well in the car. Lulu would do best with kids over 6 years old and in a calmer home where she can feel secure, loved, and part of the family. She found herself homeless after her owner lost her home, and that is how she made her way to us. Through it all, Lulu has stayed sweet, steady, and loving. She is a well-rounded girl who knows when to relax and when to speak up if needed. She is not overly driven or high energy — just a loyal, loving companion looking for her people. Lulu is available through AZ Mastiff Rescue. azmastiffrescue #AZMastiffRescue #AdoptLulu #LuluTheBlackPanther #MastiffRescue #CaneCorsoRescue #AdoptDontShop #RescueDog #BigDogLove #DogFriendly #ArizonaDogs #ForeverHomeNeeded #RescueDogsOfArizona

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
