Description
Dog Breed: Cane Corso Mastiff (short coat). Here you go A polished adoption bio for Popeye with rescue info included: Meet Popeye Popeye is a sweet, active young pup who is full of life and personality! This handsome boy truly wants to learn and thrives when given rules, boundaries, and structure. With continued obedience training, he is going to shine — he’s smart, eager, and ready to please. Popeye loves to play and would greatly benefit from having another higher-energy dog in the home to match his playful spirit. He does wonderfully in playgroup and enjoys social time with other dogs. This fun-loving guy loves: • Walks • Toys (the more the better!) • Playtime with dog friends • Being part of the action Because Popeye is so active and still working on his jumping and leash manners, we recommend kids over 8–9 years old. We are actively working with him on impulse control and leash training, and he is making progress every day! If you’re looking for a loyal, energetic companion who will thrive with guidance and leadership, Popeye may be your perfect match. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
