Description
Dog Breed: Cane Corso Mastiff (short coat). Meet Dahlia Dahlia is about 2 years old and truly the sweetest girl ever. She absolutely lives for her people and wants nothing more than to be by your side. She is dog friendly with a gentle play style. While she does great in multiple play groups and gets along well with other dogs, she doesn’t feel the need to constantly engage — she much prefers human attention. An ideal home would be with a more independent dog, as Dahlia is happiest being your shadow and soaking up all the love. She loves walks, enjoys her toys, and does wonderful out in public. You can take her places with confidence — she has zero stranger danger and is always happy to meet new people. If you want to pet her, she’s all about it! Dahlia is also great with kids and would make an amazing family companion. She’s affectionate, social, and ready to find her forever home. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
