Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Nim was born around 5/1/25 and currently weighs 32 pounds. She was found in Madison County along with her sister, Darla. Nim has excellent house manners & is always the life of the party, loving to interact with everyone she meets. She loves to play with other dogs, but is also a huge cuddle bug, wanting to be close to you & receive lots of love. She loves to go on long walks, and is very athletic, but also loves her naps throughout the day! She appears to be fully potty trained, with no accidents thus far in the home, and sleeps nicely all night wherever she is, whether that's her crate, the couch, or a dog bed. She is also a great little traveler, and does well on car rides, though you may have to pick her up to get her in! Nim is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, and started on monthly flea/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $300 and you can apply to adopt at mpravl All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
