Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Meet Jolie! She is a sweet and playful pup that has been patiently waiting to find her forever home. She has been great playing with all kinds of different dogs and hasn't met a stranger yet! She knows how to sit already, and is very food motivated. She is still working on potty training, but with a set routine she would be able to pick up quickly. Jolie loves to go for walks, and is an excellent car rider. There's nothing she'd love more than going on adventures with her future family! Jolie was born around mid August 2025 and currently weighs 33 pounds, so she will get bigger, but not huge. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed and started on monthly flea/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $300 and you can apply to adopt at mpravl All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
