Dog Breed: Hound / Beagle / Mixed (short coat). Kany is a 5-month-old female Hound/Beagle mix who got a second chance at life after being found on the streets of Guayanilla, Puerto Rico with two other pups. Thankfully, a caring foster in Puerto Rico took them in and helped them begin their journey to safety. After a flight to New Jersey, Kany is now healthy, happy, and ready to find her forever home. Kany is a playful, curious, and gentle pup who loves exploring the world around her. She has a sweet personality and enjoys spending time with people and other animals. She is good with kids, dogs, and cats, making her a wonderful addition to many types of families. This adorable girl is expected to grow to a medium size and is patiently waiting for the loving family she deserves. Could Kany be the perfect new member of your home? Foster Update: Kany has been absolutely wonderful and has adapted beautifully to our busy lifestyle. She enjoys long walks, trail adventures, and being around lots of kids—nothing seems to faze her. She’s playful with other dogs, incredibly affectionate with people, and loves soaking up the sunshine while relaxing in the yard. Kany sleeps through the night and does very well with house training as long as she stays on a consistent schedule. She’s truly an easy, low-maintenance dog. On walks, she’s confident and unfazed by traffic or new surroundings. She’s also amazing with other animals—our cats will literally walk over her while she’s snuggled under blankets, and she couldn’t care less. She can even be trusted around our free-roaming chickens without any issues. Kany is a calm, loving, and easygoing companion who will fit seamlessly into just about any home.
