Description
Dog Breed: Chihuahua (short coat). Adoption Fee: $300.00. Jumping jelly beans, it's great to meet ya!! My name is Keti. I'm a 1 year old chihuahua mix that has a zest for life! Everything I do is fast so I dont miss out on the next best thing. I love love love people and kids! I just want to cuddle up on your lap or use your lap to play with my toys. Fun fact about me is that I retrieve and bring back toys to you. I'm working on kennel training and potty training still but no worries my foster mom says I'm a fast learner. I have even been to a couple training classes to help me learn to walk on a leash and sit when asked. Other dogs are cool but I need time to warm up to them. I get bossy over what I think is mine. Foster mom is helping me understand that I can share because there is more than enough to go around for everyone. Im currently living with 2 giants! Ive been told they are just bugger versions of me. Playing with my foster sister is fun and I can hold my own against her shenanigans. Once we are done playing I am the worlds best snuggle bug. Foster mom calls it Keti cuddles and we watch some tv while wrapped in blankets. I dont need a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow just a wonderful family to call my own. Overview:
The Chihuahua, a captivating breed known for its diminutive size, boasts an ancient and somewhat mysterious origin, with most theories pointing to Mexico as its birthplace, potentially descending from the "Techichi," a small companion dog of the Toltec civilization. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their small, compact bodies, large expressive eyes, and erect ears, appearing in both smooth and long-coated varieties, showcasing a vast array of colors and markings. Despite their tiny stature, Chihuahuas possess a big personality; they are often described as spirited, alert, and fiercely loyal to their owners, sometimes displaying a bold and confident demeanor. While their small size makes them exceptionally well-suited for apartment living, they thrive in homes where they receive ample attention and mental stimulation. They can be good family pets for older children who understand how to interact gently with a small dog, but their delicate build makes them less suitable for boisterous toddlers. Regarding health, Chihuahuas can be prone to certain conditions like patellar luxation, heart problems, and dental issues, making regular veterinary check-ups crucial for their well-being.
