Meet the Football Litter — Sweet Rescue Puppies Ready for Their Forever Homes! This special litter came to us with big hearts and even bigger personalities. There are two beautiful girls; Aggie and Clemson, and three handsome boys; Sparty, Tiger, and Gator. The pup’s mom is a purebred Shih Tzu and dad a Beagle mix. They’re gentle, affectionate, and thrive on human connection. Whether you’re looking for a snuggler, a playmate, or a loyal companion, one of these pups is ready to fit right into your life. They are friendly with other dogs and seem interested in cats in a playful way. They haven’t mastered “big dog” skills yet, but are working on potty training and crate training. Learning to walk on leash has yet to begin. They each will need an adopter who has the time, energy, and patience to commit to continuing their education, and who has plenty of time for exercise and play - all those things that make raising a puppy a lot of work, but with the huge reward of an awesome canine companion. Attending puppy obedience training is a must and will help solidify your pup’s social skills, boost his or her self-confidence, all while learning basic commands and having fun! If you are looking for a puppy, Gator, or one of his littermates, may be perfect for you! Fill out an application today and let him know that you'd love to have him join your family! An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this. Breed overview
Overview:
The delightful Bea-Tzu is a charming hybrid, blending the affectionate nature of the Beagle with the gentle disposition of the Shih Tzu. Originating from designer breed programs, these dogs are sought after for their appealing combination of traits. Physically, Bea-Tzus typically inherit a medium build, often weighing between 15-25 pounds, with a soft, medium-length coat that can vary in color, often displaying a mix of their parent breeds' patterns. Their expressions are usually sweet and inquisitive, sometimes featuring those endearing Beagle-like droopy ears. Temperament-wise, they are known for being friendly, playful, and highly social, making them excellent companions for families with children and other pets. Their moderate energy levels make them adaptable to both apartment living and homes with yards, provided they receive regular walks and mental stimulation. While generally robust, potential health considerations can include those common to their parent breeds, such as ear infections, hip dysplasia, and certain eye conditions, making regular veterinary check-ups essential for a long, happy life.
