Description
Dog Breed: Cattle Dog / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $300.00. Hi… I’m Pipps and I’m looking for my forever family! I’m a cattle dog mix, about 15 pounds right now, and the puppy calculator thinks I’ll grow to be around 40 pounds when I’m all done growing. I’m listed as 5 months old, but my foster mom thinks I might be a little younger For a puppy, I’m actually pretty calm and easygoing. I love toys, cuddles, treats, and exploring anything new. I’ve never barked (yep… not even once!), I sleep all the way through the night, and I’m crate trained like a pro. I really love being around my humans, but I’m also a independent girl. I’m totally happy chilling with a toy, doing my own exploring, or just relaxing nearby while you do your thing. I get along great with other dogs, and I’m learning all about potty training. I know how to use the doggy door and go in and out… I just haven’t quite figured out what it’s for yet. I’m working on it though! If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle, and super lovable adventure buddy who also enjoys cozy downtime… I might just be your girl. Apply to me at bit.ly//RRAdoptionApplication

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
