Description
Dog Breed: Havanese (long coat). Amigo is a cute little Havanese puppy, born 10/20/25. He has puppy papers to be registered with APRI (America's Pet Registry Inc). He was born in a commercial kennel, then consigned to a dog breeder auction as part of a complete kennel sell-out. He was purchased into rescue so he can spend his life as a valued family member rather than in a breeder's pen. He is a somewhat shy puppy but once he gets to know you he gives lots of kisses and loves to have his tummy scratched. He gets along with other pups and ignores the barn cats. He is microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and has been dosed with DectoMax for an earmite infestation. He weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces on 3/2/26. Because he is too young to neuter, he will be placed with a neuter contract. When proof of surgery has been received, adopter will be mailed a rebate check for $50.00 His adoption fee is $450.00 If you would like to adopt Amigo, email me at thistle88centurytel and request an application.

Overview:
The Havanese, the national dog of Cuba, is a charming and intelligent toy breed known for its cheerful disposition and luxurious coat. Descending from the Bichon family, these small but sturdy dogs were brought to Cuba by Spanish colonists and developed into the affectionate companions we know today. Physically, they boast a distinctive long, silky double coat that can come in a multitude of colors and patterns, often requiring regular grooming to prevent matting. With their expressive dark eyes and plumed tail carried over their back, Havanese possess a captivating charm. Temperamentally, they are renowned for being outgoing, affectionate, and highly trainable, thriving on human companionship. This makes them excellent family pets and well-suited for apartment living, as they are adaptable and don't require extensive outdoor space. While generally healthy, potential owners should be aware of breed-specific concerns such as luxating patellas and eye conditions like cataracts, making responsible breeding and regular veterinary check-ups essential for their long-term well-being.
