Meet Fitz, a sturdy young pup who may not be the bravest boy this side of the Great Lakes, yet atleast. Fitz made the voyage to Wisconsin, after he and his two brothers were found as strays before Christmas. Edmund found a port of his own before transport left. But Fritz is now here to find a family that will work on his socialization, and provide a great future. Fritz will be a LARGE boy, and it's best that success is the only path those hurricane west winds blow him towards. Fritz is currently very shy with people, but loves other dogs. He will snuggle into foster lady, but is nervous to make the first move. As any puppy, he is not going to he potty trained, will chew, poo, pout, and take time to adjust to a new home. No November gales here — just thick paws, a life full of lessons ahead, and the kind of loyalty that could cary a load of Iron Oar. Our Pack Animal Rescue, Inc. Is an all foster based 501c3 rescue . License #487823. Meet and greets are arranged after an application has been approved. An approved application does not mean you must adopt the dog of interest, if it isn't a good fit.

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
