Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed. With her bright eyes, happy smile, and endlessly wiggly personality, she brings joy everywhere she goes. Nala has the perfect balance of playful energy and calm companionship. She is medium energy, loves to play, and can entertain herself by tossing toys in the air and playing catch all on her own. She enjoys water, adores other dogs, and is submissive and friendly in her interactions. She does beautifully with dogs of all sizes, including small dogs, and has also done well with cats. She knows basic obedience, is housetrained, great in her kennel, and walks nicely on leash. Nala is smart, eager to please, and ready to keep learning. She would thrive in a home with a yard and another playful dog or two where she can continue to run, romp, and enjoy being part of a pack. One of Nala’s sweetest qualities is how much she loves children. She happily cuddles up with kids and would be over the moon to have little ones to sleep beside at night. She is affectionate, gentle, and truly loves being close to her people. Nala’s previous owner could no longer keep her due to a child’s allergies, and through no fault of her own she found herself needing a new beginning. She is ready for a loving home for once and for all, a family who will include her in adventures, playtime, and cozy evenings. If you are looking for a playful, loving, water loving, toy tossing, kid cuddling companion, Nala is ready to fill your home with laughter and love. Nala was rescued from a shelter in New Mexico. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
