Description
Dog Breed: Cane Corso Mastiff / Mixed. Stella’s story could have ended very differently… Her owners moved and left her behind in the apartment to fend for herself. Thankfully, a caring neighbor stepped in, gathered her bed and toys, and brought her to safety. She settled right into their home like she had always belonged — except for one small detail… they have multiple birds, and Stella thinks the flying “toys” are just a little too fun to chase! Poor girl can’t help herself — it’s simply in her nature. Because of this, a home without birds (or small flying pets) would be best. Stella is about 1 to 2 years old — the perfect age! Young, playful, and ready to bond deeply with her forever family. She is: ✨ Very dog friendly ✨ House trained ✨ Well-mannered in the home ✨ Sweet and affectionate She deserves a family who will never leave her behind again. Stella is ready for a forever home that will cherish her the way she deserves. Az Mastiff Rescue Website: .azmastiffrescue #RescueName #AzMastiffRescue #AdoptDontShop #RescueDog #ForeverHomeWanted

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
