Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Clove is the steady, sweet-natured explorer — confident, playful, and always ready for both adventure and cuddles. He has a calm charm about him that makes him easy to fall in love with. While we can’t confirm their exact breed mix, these pups have the classic good looks of a Boxer with some hound-like charm mixed in. They’re expected to grow into that perfect medium size — likely around 30–40 pounds — making them great companions for both adventures and couch time. Clove is a gentle, playful 15 week old boy with a sweet and steady personality. He has a wonderful balance of confidence and independence, paired with a soft side for snuggles. He’s happy to explore and romp around, but he’ll gladly curl up for pets when invited. Like his brother, Clove is playful but relatively calm for his age — no nonstop chaos, just happy puppy energy. He’s good with other dogs, gentle and respectful with cats, and does well with kids. Clove is fantastic in his crate and settles beautifully, already building strong habits. He’s still working on potty training but is making steady progress. He’s likely to mature into a solid medium-sized dog — a great size for both adventures and cozy nights at home. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
