Dog Breed: Golden Retriever / Poodle (unknown type) / Mixed. Ronald Duck — aka Duckie — is a 1.5-year-old mini Goldendoodle with a big personality packed into his 20-pound frame. He is high energy, super affectionate, and fully convinced that every person he passes on the sidewalk is simply a friend he hasn’t hugged yet. He moved into his foster home like he owned the place. Duckie is fully potty trained and crate trained. He sleeps in his crate at night and is crated when his foster leaves the house. He may bark for a couple of minutes in his kennel and will also alert bark at loud hallway noises, but he settles. He doesn’t love loud sounds and can be a little skittish at times, though living downtown has helped him grow more confident every day. He absolutely loves other dogs and thrives with playful companions. If another dog wants to run and wrestle, Duckie is all in. Because of his high energy, he would do best in a home with another dog or active family to give him exercise and stimulation. Without enough activity he can get a little mischievous and destructive — this boy needs an outlet for that doodle energy. He is great with kids and enjoys giving them plenty of kisses. His history with cats is still unknown; he met a cat once and was very curious but unsure what to do, so slow introductions would be important. Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
