Dog Breed: Siberian Husky (medium coat). #A5754687 Meet Tulum, a 7-year-old Siberian Husky beauty with a plush tan-and-white coat like a perfectly toasted marshmallow. Her sweet, soulful eyes will steal your heart in an instant and never give it back. While Huskies are known for their boundless energy, age has mellowed Tulum into a wonderfully balanced girl who can fit beautifully into a variety of homes. She’s just as happy enjoying cozy cuddles as she is romping around the yard or strutting her stuff at the dog park. A little past middle age, she still has so much love and life to share with her furever family. Come meet Tulum and let this fluffy sweetheart light up your world! -7 year old tan and white Siberian Husky -87 pound female -no medical notes, so Tulum may need the standard round of shots and preventatives before you can take her home, as well as a spay - but the shelter can likely help with this! Just to be safe, she may need to be adopted on a health waiver - adopter to follow up with own vet for further diagnostics and potential treatment -came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 2/7/26 as a stray -gorgeous girl with a perfectly balanced personality, equal parts fun and chill -huge heart and ready to share it! Overview:
The Siberian Husky is a striking and beloved breed, originating from Northeast Asia where they were bred by the Chukchi people for pulling sleds over long distances in harsh conditions. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their medium size, thick double coat (available in various colors and markings), and often captivating blue or bi-colored eyes. Their temperament is typically friendly, outgoing, and playful, making them generally good with children and other dogs. However, their independent and sometimes stubborn nature, coupled with a strong prey drive, means consistent training and secure containment are essential. While affectionate, their high energy levels and need for significant exercise make them less suitable for sedentary lifestyles or tiny apartments; a house with a securely fenced yard is often preferred. Health-wise, they are generally robust but can be prone to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia and eye problems such as cataracts and progressive retinal atrophy.
