It’s all tail wags, happy wiggles, and “hi yes hello I love you” energy for literally everyone she meets. This hound mix sweetheart is equal parts cuddly and curious. She’s already leash trained (look at her go ), mostly crate trained, and currently pursuing her PhD in House Training—she’s making great progress and just needs a little consistency to graduate with honors. Sleepy’s hobbies include: • Making new best friends (humans, dogs, probably your mail carrier) • Lounging dramatically like she pays rent • Trotting proudly on walks like a tiny explorer • Being offensively adorable at all times She’s the kind of pup who will happily join you for adventures, then immediately pass out like she just ran a marathon (even if it was just down the block). In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics.
