Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 200. ATTENTION: All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We do NOT have a kennel with multiple dogs. We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. // // Introducing Frank! Frank is a 9 lb. Chihuahua mix. He is ten years old, but is more like a darling little puppy. Frank came from a difficult living situation and was not given the care he needed. Consequently, he lost his fur due to skin issues; however, he received appropriate medical care, and his fur is growing back healthy. No one invested time to train Frank, so he is a new student and requires time and patience. He is very bright, learning quickly the command “come,” and is close to being fully house-trained. In a leash-free area, he will stay close and walk beside you, and he does well on a leash when it is attached to a harness. He is not a “runner” or a barker. He enjoys socializing with other dogs and will even play with larger ones. He absolutely loves Dog Beach and Dog Park! Frank is a cuddle bug. He likes to join our dog in her bed and burrow under the blankets. He is mellow and takes his naps very seriously. When we cook, Frank waits by the kitchen door, enjoying the good smells and eagerly awaiting his homemade dinners. Frank is very sweet and gentle and would be good with respectful children. Frank does not appreciate being alone, but as his confidence grows, his anxiety decreases. He is so happy and thankful to be in a loving, safe environment with his foster. He is becoming a whole new dog! His adoption fee is $200. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption. Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog.
