Ember is a golden doodle who believes life is best spent close to his humans… preferably very close. Think cuddles, couch time, and being your loyal shadow. He’s a gentle, submissive sweetheart with soft eyes who loves everyone he meets. When the doorbell rings he’ll bark to announce your guests, but the moment they walk in he’s all tail wags and “hello new best friend!” Ember is fully potty trained, will sleep in a crate, but his favorite place is curled up next to you. He still has a tiny bit of puppy chewing and will absolutely sample everyone’s food if given the chance ️. He does have a little separation anxiety, so he’d love a home with another dog and a fenced yard to keep him company. Left alone too long, he might decide to go visiting the neighbors. If you’re looking for a loyal cuddle buddy and best friend, Ember is your guy. .dakotadachshundrescue/info/adoption Hi I’m Ember, I am an owner release. My family had to let me go because they have a lot going on and couldn’t give me the attention I need. I am a fun loving handsome, affectionate golden-doodle with a lot of energy. I love to run and play out in the yard with my person close at hand. I get along well with other dogs. My foster mom is teaching me about indoor behavior, walking on leash, understanding my crate is a safe place, and social cues from the other animals in my foster home. I'm learning about fences and boundaries. I tend to get scared and have been destructive when left alone. A secure kennel is strongly suggested. A fenced yard is required, as I have proven to roam. Ember would do well with a human that is able to give him a lot of attention. He has separation anxiety when he is home without his human, that is one reason he came to DDR. Ember is 2 yrs young, he weighs 65 pounds, his adoption fee is $500 plus sales tax $22.50= $522.50 My adoption fee helps with all of my vetting needs such as HW test, rabies, DHPPL, Bordetella, neuter, dental if needed and microchipping.

Overview:
The Standard Poodle is a captivating and highly intelligent breed with a rich history, believed to have originated in Germany as a water retriever before being refined in France. Renowned for their distinctive, dense, and curly coat—which is virtually non-shedding, making them a great choice for allergy sufferers—they are elegant and athletic dogs. Physically, they possess a proud carriage, a long muzzle, and dark, expressive eyes, typically weighing between 45-70 pounds. Their temperament is characterized by being highly intelligent, easily trainable, and generally good-natured, though they require mental stimulation to prevent boredom. Standard Poodles are surprisingly adaptable, thriving in active families and even adapting well to apartment living provided they receive adequate exercise and mental engagement. While generally healthy, owners should be aware of potential health concerns like hip dysplasia, bloat, and eye conditions. Their combination of brains, beauty, and biddability makes them a truly versatile and rewarding companion.
