Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Pastrami is a 4 Year old, large baked potato, and an amazing dog for any household! He has met with kids, other dogs (small and large), even ducks and has done great! He has quite the set of impressive muscles and knows how to use them when on a leash, we suggest leash training to help him learn he doesnt have to drag you get to get to what he wants! Pastrami is quite the lover boy, frequently showing you how much love he has by kissing you and cuddling up on your lap, he may be a little chonky but surely you wont mind the extra weight, right? He has shown amazing restraint while in the car and will sit silently until you arrive at your destination, hopefully the park because this big boy loves the outdoors! Pastrami has gone on one hike previously and shown a great interest in it, but we're pretty sure he was just there for sunbathing. He has shown some nervousness inside buildings such as petsmart and may have an accident due to those feelings, but with a person to build his confidence we think Pastrami will learn to be the best boy ever!

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
