Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (medium coat). What's everyones favorite meal? Spaghetti! He's just a 2 Year old big blocky headed boy! He has been with the shelter since Feburary 15th, quickly warming up to our staff. During his stay in our shelter he has been getting more uncomfortable and is looking to head on home! Spaghetti is an active, excitable, affectionate boy. He's ready to take on any adventure to find his people, but his main requirement? Lots and lots cuddle time (of course with some complimentary belly rubs). Spaghetti has shown some slight leash reactivity, so we recommend looking into training after he settles down with his new family. Spaghetti is unsure about other dogs but is being worked with by our staff to see what he might be looking for in a furry companion! He may get his name from the italian dish, but he's more of a peanut butter lover and will follow you around until he gets enough (which will be never). Looking for a new musical instrument? well look no further!, Spaghetti enjoys pretending he's a drum set and will let you rock out and pat him all over.He may be the definition of a clinger pup but you won't mind will you?

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
