Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Mixed. Adela has already beaten the odds once — now she’s ready to start the next chapter of her story. A few weeks ago, Adela and her sisters were placed on the euthanasia list at a Texas shelter because they were suffering from a severe case of mange. Instead of getting the treatment they needed, their time was quickly running out. Thankfully, she got the chance she deserved. Fast forward just a few weeks and the transformation has been incredible. With proper care and treatment, Adela’s hair is almost completely grown back and her glow-up is well underway. She’s feeling better, looking better, and finally getting to enjoy life as a happy puppy. Adela spent time in a foster home where she was described as super sweet, playful, and incredibly lovable. She did great with the resident dogs and loved having playmates to romp around with. She enjoys playtime, exploring, and soaking up attention from her people. With her sweet nature and playful personality, she’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and plenty of puppy snuggles to her future family. After everything she’s overcome, Adela is ready for the life she’s been waiting for — one filled with love, adventures, and a forever family to call her own. This pup was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
