Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (short coat). Cinder has healed beautifully from her enucleation surgery. Her antibiotics are done, her fur is already growing back, and in her foster home sheâs showing us who she really is, a total cuddle bug who loves nothing more than curling up in your lap and snoozing. Sheâs food motivated, already knows sit, paw, and crate, and is doing great with pottying outside. She even gets the cutest zoomies around mealtime and enjoys running around playing with her dog buddy, Walt. Cinder is still learning that the world is a safe place. She can be easily startled by sounds and is working through fear, especially around new people and men. Her foster is helping her build confidence every day, and sheâll need a patient, understanding home to continue that progress, likely one without small children. Take a look at Cinder in her foster home: .facebook/share/r/1DfgYzVjnp/?mibextid=wwXIfr Cinder is loving, loyal, and so deserving of a second chance. To schedule a meet and greet, email then email fosterpgcpetsco.pg.md.us with the Cinderâs name and ID number.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
