His world revolves around his home and his people. He is intelligent and wants to please, but his brain occasionally "misfires" due to his seizures. Bodie is on a strict medication schedule and must be maintained to prevent breakthrough episodes. This includes: Gabapentin, Sertraline and Keppra. His seizures are infrequent. However, the post-seizure phase involves significant disorientation. Bodie requires a strong handler who can remain physically steady and calm if he becomes disoriented or has a bad anxiety attack. Bodie needs a quiet, low-traffic home to keep his neurological system at baseline. He needs someone who understands that his "unpredictability" is medical, and not just behavioral, and can provide a "safe landing" during his episodes where his medical needs can be managed without putting his owner at risk. In a physically capable, quiet environment, he will be a deeply loyal and loving partner. His owner is physically unable to care for him in the manner required and is heartbroken to part with him.
