Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (short coat). Description of the Pet Meet Lindy, - a tiny "pocket pit", a loving and loyal companion who's ready to steal your heart! This gentle and affectionate girl is always up for a good time, whether it's playing fetch, going on walks, or simply enjoying some quality cuddle time. She's a curious soul who loves to explore the world around her and is always eager to make new friends, (she's a big fan of treats!). She sits nicely for a treat to go inside and then sits patiently for a treat in her crate. With a heart as big as hers, Lindy is sure to bring joy and laughter to her new family. Could that be you? Come meet Lindy today and find out! Lindy is four years old and we would suggest an adult household. No cats please. Lindy is at our Ringwood location at 260 Margaret King Avenue where he is available from 3-5 daily or by appointment. WALK-INS WELCOME! Our pre-adopt can be found at .BASSshelterpets. Our adoption fee is $350 check or cash. For those of you following our dogs on the TREAT APP, thank you! FYI-Petfinder update inadvertently deleted all listed dogs, they were not adopted and are still available.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
