Description
Dog Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie / Mixed. Meet Riesling Riesling is a tiny Yorkie mix with a big personality packed into a very small body. She’s absolutely adorable and full of playful energy. One of her favorite games is fetch—she’ll happily chase the ball every time—but bringing it back is still a challenge because she’s so tiny the balls are a little too big for her mouth. She gives it her best effort though, which just makes it even cuter. Riesling also likes to join in when the dogs run out the door barking their heads off, determined to be part of the action despite her small size. This little girl is full of charm, curiosity, and spunk, and she’s ready to find a home where she can keep everyone entertained and loved. She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and current with all vaccines (as appropriate for her age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Riesling is currently being fostered in South Carolina. ADOPT RIESLING!! .LuckyPupRescueSC The adoption fee is $375.00 and we require a vet check and home visit.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
