Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Eli was bought from the Amish in Pennsylvania as a puppy. He is currently 7 years old and lives with his biological brother Jacob, and his sister Gracie. I would like to rehome the boys as a pair, if possible. Eli is a very friendly dog but wants constant attention from myself or I'm sure anyone else that he is with. He loves to play with you and run around but likes his freedom to roam when he gets out of the yard...... I love him to pieces but it has become a burden on me because of my health. Eli is being treated by my vet for seizures and takes medication twice a day. My heart is breaking knowing that I have to give him up but I need to care for myself also. I am very saddened by this... I'm Looking for a loving, caring home, someone that can fill all his needs both physically and mentally. **** Breed: Pomsky **** Pet Link: .nokillnetwork/adoption/pet_detail.php?petid=2194959&flag=1

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
