Complete an application at .carolinapoodlerescue/application Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet, SC Weight: 13 lbs Height: 12 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $199 Fence needed? No but Blossom has never lived without the security of a fenced in yard. If you would like her to learn to potty on a leash and go for long walks with you, you'll need to teach her this skill. She will learn. It will simply take time. Want To Know More About Me? Text Blossom to 864-441-9075 for my full story, photos and videos - we'll send everything you need to know! Here's Your Quick Peek: Sweet Blossom is an affectionate girl who forms deep bonds with her people once she has time to feel safe and comfortable. She could do an apartment or townhouse because she is a quiet little girl. She is sweetly compact without being tiny. Must have: A home with another confident dog Exercise: Blossom enjoys roaming in a physically fenced yard and playing with friends. If you expect her to walk on a leash you will have to teach her. Best with: A patient, experienced adopter who understands that some dogs just need more time to adjust to a new life Not ideal for: A busy home with lots of children and visitors Energy level: Medium Originally coming from a breeder/hoarding situation, the wide world is still very new to Blossom. She has had some experience living in a home, but she will need continued patience as she learns that change can be safe and positive. Good with dogs: Yes, better than with humans Good with kids: Yes Cats: Yes, though he does think they are fun to chase Fun fact: Blossom is full of mischief once she is comfortable. Don't let that shy first introduction fool you. Our girl has personality. Potential Adopters Dogs can’t drive - and since we’re busy taking care of them, we can’t either! Please check your potential BFF’s location and make sure you’re comfortable traveling to meet them. Want updates and ways to help? Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
