Description
Dog Breed: Jack Russell Terrier. 6 Puppies from a Breeder/Hoarding Case Tessie is 7 months old and weighs about 14 pounds. She’s Tucker’s littermate and the more outgoing of the two, and she absolutely loves being held and soaking up attention. These six puppies have just arrived from a breeder/hoarding case where there were simply too many dogs for the owner to care for properly. Despite their rough start, they are incredibly sweet, peopleoriented puppies who are already soaking up affection and routine in their foster homes. They are friendly, gentle, and eager to bond with their new families. They enjoy being held and are adjusting beautifully to normal home life. As with all puppies coming from overcrowded environments, they may be a little cautious at first, but they warm up quickly with kindness and consistency. We are working on housetraining; they love to go outside and run in the yard. Something they didn't have the chance to do before. What They Come With • Vetchecked • Ageappropriate vaccinations • Dewormed • Heartworm & flea preventatives • Spayed/neutered • Microchipped Adoption Fee & Deposit A $50 refundable deposit is required to place a temporary hold on a puppy until your adoption appointment. This helps prevent lastminute cancellations and respects the time of our foster families. If you meet the puppy and decide not to adopt, your deposit is fully refunded. Adoption Fee is $550. Female puppies have a slightly higher adoption fee because spay surgery is a more complex and expensive procedure than neutering. Adoption Requirements • A fencedin backyard suitable for a small/medium dog • An adult home during the day with time for a young puppy No crating for puppies — adopters must use an approved puppy playpen • Children age 7+ (younger considered casebycase) • Homes with no dogs or up to one small/medium dog

Overview:
The Jack Russell Terrier is a small, energetic dog breed originating from England in the mid-1800s, specifically bred by Reverend John Russell for fox hunting. These compact canines are easily recognized by their sturdy, muscular build, typically weighing between 13-17 pounds, with a height of 10-15 inches at the shoulder. Their coats can be smooth, broken, or rough, predominantly white with black, tan, or tricolor markings. Known for their spirited and confident temperament, Jack Russells are highly intelligent but can also be quite stubborn, requiring consistent training and ample mental stimulation. While devoted to their families, their high energy levels and strong prey drive make them better suited for active households with secure outdoor spaces rather than small apartments. They can thrive with children if properly socialized, though supervision is always advised due to their boisterous play. Generally healthy, they can be prone to certain genetic conditions such as patellar luxation, Legg-Calve-Perthes disease, and some eye disorders, making responsible breeding crucial.
