Ember – Yellow/Cream Female doodle, 1.5 years, 48 lbs. Ember – A Little Spark with a Big Heart My name is Ember, and just like the glowing ember of a fire, my spirit has stayed strong through it all. Even when life tried to dim my light, the lasting ember inside me kept burning — giving me the determination to survive and the hope to find my forever family. I’m a 1½-year-old female Doodle mix, about 48 pounds, and the perfect blend of gentle soul and playful companion. I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once I feel safe, my sweet and cuddly personality shines bright. I’m a well-mannered girl who is already learning the good life. I’m crate trained, house trained, and I use a doggy door like a pro. I also walk nicely on a leash, which means I’d love to join you for relaxing neighborhood walks or outdoor adventures. I get along wonderfully with others too! I’m friendly with both large and small dogs and even cat friendly, making me a great addition to many types of homes. One of the best things about me is that my energy level easily matches the people I’m with. Want to go for a walk? I’m ready! Feel like relaxing and cuddling? That sounds perfect too. All I’m looking for now is a family who will let my little ember glow brighter every day with love, patience, and kindness. And remember — adopting a dog is a commitment, filled with loyalty, companionship, and unconditional love. I’m ready to give my heart to the family who chooses me. Breed overview
Overview:
The Labradoodle is a charming and increasingly popular hybrid breed, originating in Australia in the late 1980s with the goal of creating a guide dog for a visually impaired individual allergic to dog hair. This delightful canine combines the best traits of its parent breeds: the intelligent Poodle (Standard) and the friendly Labrador Retriever. Physically, Labradoodles boast a range of sizes and coat types, from wavy fleece to curly wool, often shed-reduced, making them a potential option for individuals with mild allergies. Their coats come in various colors, including cream, chocolate, and black. Temperamentally, they are known for being sociable, intelligent, and trainable, making them excellent family pets. They thrive on human companionship and require moderate exercise to stay happy and healthy. While adaptable, their energy levels mean they generally prefer homes with yards over small apartments, though daily walks are essential. Common health considerations, inherited from their parent breeds, can include hip and elbow dysplasia, eye conditions, and certain cancers, so choosing a reputable breeder is crucial for a healthy companion.
