Description
Dog Breed: Boxer. 3/14/2026 Bingo is an owner surrender looking for a new home. Hi! My name is Bingo! I am a handsome 1.5 year old flashy fawn boy that is an owner surrender due to my owner having a medical issue. I am described as friendly and active! I often go to the dog park and get along well with other dogs! When my owners adopted me, I was with other dogs and was very relaxed. I have never lived with a cat so it is uncertain if I am feline friendly. There are no children that live in my home but often there is a disabled child that visits and I am very respectful of him. I am house trained, crate trained, and at night I sleep in my crate. When outside I have good behavior and do not dig or attempt to jump fences or gates. I am fearful of loud noises but love balls that I can catch and play keep a way with, attention, and walks! I'm a playful boy that doesn't like to 'drop' the ball but instead wants the humans to take it from me. I will play-growl but not bite when the humans take the toy from me. If you are looking for an active and good boy, contact the rescue today and give them my name because I am waiting to meet you!

A.K.A.: Deutscher Boxer, German Boxer, Dutch Boxer, Boxer dog, Boxy, Boxerman
Overview:
The Boxer is a medium-sized, short-haired dog breed of German origin, known for its distinctive appearance and vibrant personality. Physically, Boxers possess a strong, athletic build with a characteristic square head, an undershot jaw, and often a docked tail and cropped ears (though these practices are becoming less common). Their short, glossy coat typically comes in fawn or brindle, often with white markings. Temperamentally, Boxers are renowned for being incredibly loyal, intelligent, and energetic, making them fantastic companions for active families. They thrive on human interaction and can be playful and patient with children, making them excellent family pets. While their energy levels require regular exercise, their adaptability means they can adjust to apartment living if their activity needs are consistently met. However, potential owners should be aware of certain health considerations, including a predisposition to some cancers, heart conditions like cardiomyopathy, and hip dysplasia, underscoring the importance of responsible breeding and regular veterinary check-ups.
