As an added bonus, I have beautiful reddish highlights, which basically makes me a limited-edition chocolate lab. Let’s talk green flags. Rusty already knows sit and stay and is a very polite gentleman when it comes to potty breaks—he even previously learned to ring a bell to go outside. He’s dog-friendly, people-friendly, smart, eager to learn, and very treat motivated. Rusty is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and on flea and tick prevention. Most importantly, he’s extremely talented at being adorable. Now for the red flags. Rusty occasionally forgets he’s not a tiny puppy and is still polishing up his house manners. He’s currently learning crate training and, fair warning, may cause sudden increases in smiling and laughter. Rusty was previously adopted by a lovely senior couple who absolutely adored him, but his puppy energy turned out to be a bit overwhelming for their lifestyle. They returned him with glowing reviews and hopes he would find a home ready to embrace his fun, playful personality. He’s new to the rescue, so we’re still learning more about him, but so far he’s proving to be a pretty fantastic pup.
