Description
Dog Breed: Beagle / Cocker Spaniel / Mixed. Meet Jack. This adorable little guy has a sparkling personality, although he may be reserved initially when meeting new people. Jack came from a family with several very young children, so he is quite kid friendly. He loves to play with other dogs and doesnt mind cats at all. He's pretty darned adaptable. Jack is approximately 11 months old, so he still has enough puppy in him to be spunky and mischievious, and by nature his Beagle traits make him a very curious fella. Jack is a Beagle mix and weighs in at 20 pounds. It is doubtful that he will get much bigger. He has the cute front legs of perhaps a basset or dachshund and a slightly longer body, very soft ears and short coat, and adorable cow lick on the top of his head. Jack is housebroken, is learning basics such as sit, walking on lead, and crate training. He sleeps quietly all night in a crate but is not a fan of being crated during the daylight hours. He'd much rather be out exploring!!! Jack is fully vetted, neutered, heart worm negative and on monthly flea and tick and heartworm prevention. He is up to date on vaccines and microchipped!! Jack's ideal home would include a dog friend to play with, a fenced yard (remember the Beagle traits) and children to play with. He loves riding in the car and snuggling on your lap during leisure time. He's really a sweet, very special little guy!

Breed overview
Overview:
The Bocker, a delightful hybrid of the Beagle and Cocker Spaniel, originated from the desire to blend the best traits of both beloved breeds. These medium-sized dogs typically inherit a sturdy build, often with the Cocker's characteristic soft, wavy coat and the Beagle's expressive, sometimes droopy, ears. Their coloring can vary widely, reflecting either parent. Temperamentally, Bockers are known for being friendly, affectionate, and generally good-natured, making them excellent companions. They possess a moderate energy level, requiring daily walks and playtime to stay happy and prevent boredom. While adaptable, their size and need for activity make them more suitable for families or individuals with access to a yard, though they can thrive in apartments with sufficient exercise. Potential health concerns may include those common to their parent breeds, such as ear infections, hip dysplasia, and certain eye conditions, highlighting the importance of responsible breeding and regular veterinary check-ups.
