It’s long and luxurious with a thinner undercoat, so he barely sheds, especially compared to a Dutch Shepherd. You get the stunning look without the constant fur tumbleweeds. But he’s more than a pretty face. He has an excellent off switch and will happily sleep for hours after a good walk. He’s fantastic with other dogs of all sizes and both genders, no barking, no reactivity. In public, he’s respectful and composed. He’s smart, food motivated, and his recall continues to improve beautifully. He’s thoughtful. Intentional. Loyal. Now, let’s be honest about what he needs. Shaka is still young at heart and can occasionally act like a teenager testing boundaries. He’s smart enough to try “games” if he senses inconsistency, so he truly needs clear leadership and someone who won’t engage in that back-and-forth. Structure builds his confidence. He can also still be a bit mouthy when excited, so a home without young children would be best. Shaka would thrive with an experienced, active handler who appreciates a working-breed brain and understands that consistency equals success.
