Description
Dog Breed: Poodle (Miniature) (medium coat). Meet SWEETIE & SHEILA — our darling “GOLDEN GIRLS” 7-Year-Young Apricot Mini Poodle Sisters, approx 13/14 lbs each For their entire lives, these two little girls have been breeder dogs. Their job was to have puppies… but they were never the ones being chosen, spoiled, or doted on. Now their breeder chapter is ending. Soon they will be spayed/surrendered & for the first time in their lives they will finally get the chance to experience something they’ve never known before - Being someone’s beloved pets. SWEETIE (the lighter one) and SHEILA (the darker one) are DARLING little girls — sugar sweet, friendly, affectionate, and absolutely starved for attention. They adore people and will thrive once they are part of a real home where they can finally be the “ apple of someone’s eye” And despite being 7, these girls are “7 years young” — still active, playful, and full of life. - Good with other dogs, Good with kids, Fine with dog-friendly cats, Crate trained Sweetie already knows some basic commands , while Sheila is very bright and eager to learn — she simply hasn’t had the opportunity yet. Because they lived in outdoor breeder kennels, they will need help learning normal pet life. They will need leash training ( they were never walked on leashes) and also some housetraining but they are very smart girls and with love and patience they will absolutely blossom. We would love to keep these sisters together since they have known each other their entire lives. However, we are open to separating them depending on the home , because what matters most is that each girl finds a loving family. These sweet little Golden Girls deserve a beautiful next chapter — one filled with cozy beds, gentle hands, and people who love them simply for being who they are. If you can can give them the loving home they deserve, pls send an email to: INFOTAILSOFLOVERESCUE.ORG for an application.

Overview:
The Miniature Poodle, a charming and intelligent companion, originated in Germany as a water retriever before being refined in France. They are renowned for their elegant appearance, characterized by a distinctive curly coat (often requiring regular grooming to prevent matting), long muzzle, and expressive dark eyes. Standing typically between 10 to 15 inches tall and weighing 10 to 15 pounds, they are a compact yet sturdy breed. Temperamentally, Miniature Poodles are known for their high intelligence, making them highly trainable and eager to please. They are generally lively, affectionate, and can be quite playful, thriving on interaction with their families. Their adaptable nature makes them well-suited for apartment living, provided they receive adequate daily exercise and mental stimulation. They are often excellent with children and other pets when properly socialized. While generally healthy, potential owners should be aware of breed-specific concerns such as progressive retinal atrophy, luxating patella, and Addison's disease. With their captivating looks and bright minds, the Miniature Poodle makes a delightful and devoted family member.
